 Along the rolling foothills of Cleveland County, approximately 3 miles from downtown Shelby lie the vineyards of Owl's Eye. Thirteen acres of vines are planted now, with more plantings to be done in the near future.

Chardonnay
This is NOT what you'd expect. This chardonnay is slightly sweet with no taste of oak. A hint of fruit flavor with a smooth finish. $14
South Mountain Scarlet (Gold metal winner :: NC State Fair Wine Competition)
This dry red is a blend of Merlot, Malbec, Petite Verdot and Cabernet Franc. It pairs well with barbeque and many red meat dishes.$12
Chambourcin (Silver metal winner :: NC State Fair Wine Competition)
This wine has a beautiful deep red color with a great aroma. It has a good tannin/acid balance with a nice long finish. You could “lay this one down” for 6 months to 5 years.$18
Blackberry (Bronze metal winner :: NC State Fair Wine Competition)
This fruit wine is a unique combination that starts sweet and finishes tart. It was made from 100% fresh local blackberries--not from concentrate! This is not just a dessert wine. It pairs well with foods such as turkey and pork tenderloin.$14
"Pink Eye" Rosé
Simply contagious! This rosé is a light refreshing change from white wines. With a hint of raspberry with a smooth finish, this wine compliments almost any dish. $10 We are currently out of Pink Eye, but expect some more in the future. Stay tuned.
Tweyelight
This dry red is a smooth blend of zinfandel, merlot and chambourcin. This "Nuvo" style wine is fresh and fruity with a velvety finish. $15
Traminette
This hybrid grape has a fragrant aroma and a floral taste, similar to Gewurtztraminer, Traminette lures those attracted to the dry and the sweet. $12
Viognier
Taste a hint of apricot & spice, with a refreshing round fullness to the mouth with a smooth semi-dry finish. This wine pairs especially well with Thai or Mexican foods. $14
